OPEN COCKPIT WEEKEND 2013

Visitors queue to sit in the cockpit of F-111 A8-129. The line extends out the back door and across the courtyard to the workshops on the western boundary. Despite standing in the rain for more than an hour, there were no complaints from the 1,200 visitors who showed nothing but appreciation of the opportunity to sit in the cockpit of this iconic and much-loved aeroplane.Image: Stewart Myers
