DC-3 VH-ANR

More than 60 years after he assembled the DC-3 Wielewaal in Holland, John Gyzemyter renews his acquaintance with the same aeroplane under restoration at the Queensland Air Museum, Caloundra. John, who is a member of QAM, was present for the recording of a television segment on his association with the DC-3. As John puts it: "We both came to Queensland to retire." John Gyzemyter passed away in Brisbane on 30th April 1999 aged 84 years.
