Received new from Auster Aircraft Ltd and assembled by Kingsford Smith Aviation Service Pty. Ltd., Bankstown, NSW. Fitted with Gipsy Major Series I Serial Number 21 manufactured by General Motors Holden and completely overhauled by KSAS with previous time unknown. The aircraft was fitted with a new Fairey Aviation metal airscrew Model A66696/XI/8 supplied by Auster. The KSAS log book entry shows propeller s/n F.R.43078 fitted but the propeller log book states s/n F.R.42527. The work was certified by C.S. Timewell (Lic. 346) on behalf of KSAS. (Source: 2)
