This aircraft is a composite of several airframes. The majority of the structure comes from VH-SBQ (msn 1901) but it should be noted that the aircraft incorporates the seat bases with attached Data Plate from msn 0499. The aircraft as displayed at QAM incorporates the following components from VH-SBQ (msn 1901):
Despite the presence of the Data Plate from msn 0499, the aircraft is displayed as VH-SBQ (msn 1901) because the majority of the airframe has come from that aircraft. The data plate from VH-SBQ (msn1901) was never received by QAM. |

Crashed at Ramona, California. "The pilot encountered unfavorable winds while on a local sight-seeing flight. He elected to land at a friend's helipad. At the time he initiated his final approach the winds were from the north. During the final approach the winds shifted 180 degrees. The pilot delayed the go-around. During the go-around he inadvertently entered into a settling with power condition from which he could not recover. He stated that the helicopter did not experience any preimpact malfunctions or failures. The two persons on board were not injured." (Source: 3) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
