Probably in 1964 after the disbandment of 59th Training-Combat Aviation Regiment in Biala Podlaska, the aircraft was converted to a two seat version SBLim-1 (equivalent to the Russian MiG-15UTI). SB is an abbreviation of "Szkolno-Bojowy" which translates as Training-Combat. (Source: via Bartosz Klimczak)

Sometime during the period 09JAN70 to 30MAY70, the aircraft was fitted with the rear fuselage and tail from Lim-2 s/n 1B-01221 thus becoming a SBLim-2 (for which there is no Russian equivalent). This was previously reported erroneously as having taken place during the c1964 conversion. (Source: Robert Senkowski and Slawomir Bartosik via Tony Morris, UK)
