Mandated Airlines Dove VH-MAL (right) at Kainantu, PNG. Harry West,
who went on to become a District Commissioner in PNG, remembers taking
the photo (circa 1953/54) because it was unusual to have three aeroplanes
on the ground together at Kainantu. The date is more likely 1953 given
that Dove VH-MAL left PNG late that year. The other aircraft are Qantas
Drover VH-EAZ (left) and a Crowley Airways Anson believed to be VH-AQV
