To Bangkok for 'E' servicing by Thai Airways Aircraft Maintenence Co. Ltd. A4-159 was the first RAAF Caribou to have an 'E' service in Bangkok after Philippine Airlines in Manila lost the contract. "It was found that the new contract differed in some details to that tendered by PAL. The most significant difference was that aircraft are no longer to be stripped and painted but only to be given a touch-up paint job. This matter has been referred to HQRAAFV." This was changed and the return of A4-159 was 13 days late because of the amended requirement to strip and paint. (Source: 10)
